Ice Cube Decorations
Photo of wine chilling in bucket of rose ice cubes.
Summer time is here and there’s no better way to enjoy summer than hosting your own spectacular garden party or backyard barbeque.  The key ingredient to make your party a success is to make the most out of the outdoors.  Use your imagination and create ways to add a touch of nature in your decor.  A great idea is to freeze flowers and small berries in your ice cubes.  Then you can use the ice cubes to chill drinks in ice buckets.  You can even use the cubes in your drinks.  Just be very careful about flowers, they may contain chemicals and pesticides.  To be on the safe side, you can use berries, mint leaves, and slices of citrus fruits.

This Week's Great Tip
Organize Your Photos

Nearly everyone I know is guilty of doing this; keeping photos and never actually giving them a home.  How horrible.  We painstakingly get dressed up, pose, power-up our cameras and video recorders so we can capture the great moments in our lives.  We go through so much effort to have keepsakes, and then we tuck them away in a box that goes unnoticed for…well, sometimes years.  Aren’t these memories worth more?  Shouldn’t they be showcased properly; whether it’s in a scrapbook, photo album, or in a picture frame.

Take some time today and quickly go through your photos.  Sort them out by year or event if you can.  Don’t worry about duplicates, or what you’re keeping and what you’re not, JUST SORT.  Then choose one pile of photos and give them a proper home.

Recipe for an Orange Coconut Smoothie
Summer is here and a great way to cool down with a healthy drink is to make a smoothie.  It’s a great alternative to a mixed alcoholic beverage, especially for those summer barbeques and garden parties.
