Living Well & Scrapbooking PDF Print E-mail
There’s a quote that I’ve heard many times:  “Live a good, honorable life.  Then when you get older and think back, you’ll be able to enjoy it a second time.”  I think that’s absolutely brilliant.  Firstly because of it’s simple truth, and secondly because no one, or at least only a few wise individuals, understand the impact of their lives in the moment that they are living it.  And I guess in some ways that’s a good thing, can you imagine if you had to consider the possible consequences and impact of each and every action and thought you had?  That would be overwhelming.  But it is important to be conscious – to know that what you are doing, how you are acting, and what you are thinking, are in marriage to the life you want to live.  When you live the life that you want, you create memories, and when you live a good life, you create a legend.

Scrapbooking has become the new and chic way to leave a pictorial history of our lives.  I know for myself that when I open a photo album, I don’t just want to see photos, I want each page to tell me a story.  It’s a lot of work and very time consuming, but most things in life that are worth it, are.

I am bringing these two concepts; living well and scrapbooking together, because after a long winter, it’s time to dust off the old and start afresh.  Spring is finally here.  Easter has just passed, and my thoughts are on new beginnings.  It’s time for all of us to do some spring-cleaning.  It’s the perfect time to get all your old photos out and start scrapbooking.

By doing this:

  •     You can clean up your environment
  •     You give your photos a new home that’s respectful of the memories they hold
  •     You free your mind of any emotional clutter
  •     You create a legend to pass along to your loved ones
  •     And you give yourself a clean slate for a new beginning

So as you go about your days and scrapbook projects, remember this quote:

“Live a good, honorable life.  Then when you get older and think back, you’ll be able to enjoy it a second time.”
