My love for art has always guided the way I perceive things. For the most part, I can find beauty and potential in anything. Couple this with my love of paper, and a recipe for some of the most interesting and creative envelopes you'll ever find, will emerge.
Don't ask me how, but I always get roped into purchasing magazine subscriptions. I never quite find the time to read them, but that's perfectly alright with me. Did you know that 60% of a magazine's content is comprised of advertisements. That's not a bad thing because I love advertisements. Some of the wittiest and most clever things I've ever read, I've read in print ads, and some of the most beautiful art works I've ever seen, I've found in magazine ad campaigns. This is exactly why I've always found it a shame to know that most of my magazines end up in a recycling bin. Well no more - I've found a great new way to use the beauty of all those ads I love so much - I make envelopes out of them. In another way I guess I recycle them. Here's a look at some of the ones I've used. Now if you're not exactly sure how to make an envelope, simply take another envelope you already have, and unfold it. By laying it out flat on your magazine ad, you can easily cut around it and use it as your template. |
